SPAIN – HANOI
Presentation at the airport and departure in regular flight to Hanoi (via another European city). Night on board.
Arrival at Hanoi airport. Welcome from your Spanish speaking guide. Transfer to the city (1hr.) Where you will get a first impression of Hanoi. Transfer to your hotel and entrance formalities (rooms are available from 14.00h). Free afternoon in Hanoi to relax or discover the city on your own. A map of the city will be given to the clients. For passengers arriving with afternoon flights a Spanish speaking guide will help with the transfer to your hotel and will indicate the time of departure the next day to begin the planned visits. After breakfast, visit the city – the present capital of Vietnam, a unique Asian city with its tree-lined avenues, French colonial architecture and oriental temples. The visit includes the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (only outside), the Ho Chi Minh House, the unique Pillar Pagoda, the Tran Quoc and Quan Thanh Pagodas and the Temple of Literature. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, visit the Ngoc Son Pagoda, in the middle of Hoan Kiem Lake, and stroll through Hanoi’s Old Quarter. In the late afternoon, they will attend a traditional water puppet show at the Thang Long Theater. Accommodation in Hanoi.
HANOI – HALONG CRUISE (B, L, D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by road to Halong Bay (3.30hrs-4hrs). Along the way, you will discover the rich lands of the Red River Delta and the landscape of rice paddies, water buffaloes and the daily life of the Vietnamese people. Arrival in Halong, boarding a reed. Lunch on board. Cruise down the bay and stop to visit some caves or floating villages. You can bathe in the emerald waters of Halong Bay (weather permitting). Dinner and overnight on board.
HALONG – HANOI – DANANG – HOI AN (Brunch, C)
A brunch breakfast will be served back to the port of Halong. Arrive Halong, disembark and depart for Hanoi. Transfer to Hanoi, stop at the temple with Son – Nguyen Trai if time permits or free time in the city before transfer to the airport to embark on your domestic flight to Danang. Upon arrival, transfer to Hoi An (30 min). Dinner at the hotel. Accommodation in Hoi An.
HOI AN (D, A)
After breakfast, visit the city of Hoi An, an important commercial port in the 17th and 18th centuries whose architecture and relaxed life have changed little since then. You will visit the ancient center of the city with the houses of the old merchants, the Japanese Covered Bridge of more than 400 years and the colorful market. Lunch in a local restaurant. Free afternoon to explore Hoi An or enjoy the beach. OPTIONAL: Visit to My Son Part-time visit to the capital and religious center of the ancient kingdom of Champa, My Son. At 40 km southwest of Hoi An, in a lush valley, you will find dozens of brick towers and shrines dating back to a period between the 7th and 13th century. On the way back to Hoi An is planned a stop to visit Tra Kieu, formerly known as the Lion’s Citadel, capital of Champa between the 4th and 8th century. Some of the most important sculptures of the Danang Cham Museum have seen the light in this valley.Accommodation in Hoi An.
HOI AN – DANANG – HUE (D, C)
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to your hotel in Danang or Hoi An to the center of Hoi An where you will start a bike ride to the local farm in the village of Tra Que. Upon arrival in the village, they will walk through the orchard and join with the peasants to prepare and fertilize the garden with seaweed if they wish. Horticulture activities in which they can participate include raking, planting, watering and picking vegetables. After completing the farm tasks, they will be taught how to prepare the «tam huu», a local delicacy that you can taste before returning to Hoi An. At the right time, transfer by road to Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam, passing by the Hai Van Pass (El Paso de las Nubes) and the photogenic Lang Co beach (approx 3hrs). Arrival in Hue and dinner in hotel. Overnight in Hue.
HUE (D, A)
After breakfast, you will take a boat ride through the romantically named Perfume River to visit the most famous religious site in Hue, the Thien Mu Pagoda. The Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945 and the Dong Ba market . After exploring this marvelous monument, travelers will take a cyclo tour of the ancient city to Lake Tinh Tam where the emperors used to come and relax. The landscape is characterized in summer by lotus flowers and in the area there are many cafes where students usually meet to study and discuss. Lunch at a local restaurant. Continue on the road to the northeast of Hue to visit the elaborate mausoleums of the Tu Duc and Khai Dinh emperors and the Ho Quyen Tiger Arena.
HUE – HO CHI MINH CITY – CU CHI TUNES (D, A)
After breakfast, transfer to Phu Bai airport to board the flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrival to Ho Chi Minh City. Transfer to visit the tunnels of Cu ChiEsta incredible network of tunnels was built by soldiers of Vietnamese resistance (Viet Cong) during the wars against French and Americans. The visit can start in the Ben Dinh section or in the Ben Duoc section. In the tunnels it is possible to feel like a guerrilla fighter as well as Russian rifles and Ak 47. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, transfer to Ho Chi Minh City, stroll through the city center to discover Notre Dame Cathedral (from outside) and the post office and the palace of reunification (from the outside). to your hotel.
HO CHI MINH CITY – BEN TRE (Mekong Delta) HO CHI MINH CITY (B, L)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the Mekong Delta. Arrive in the city of My Tho, board a local boat to head for Ben Tre, passing the beautiful islands of the Dragon, the Unicorn, the Tortoise or the Phoenix on the Tien River. The visit of the area includes: visit of local candy factories, walk in Xe Loi (local transport) through the coconut gardens and villages of the island, stop to taste the local fruits, boat trip to discover the narrow covered channels of palms. Return to My Tho passing by the fish farms. Lunch at a local restaurant and return to Ho Chi Minh City.Accommodation in Ho Chi Minh City.
HO CHI MINH – DEPARTURE (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out at 12 noon. Free time until transfer to the airport to embark on your flight back to Spain. Night on board.
