In the incomparable setting of the gardens of Cap Roig, a summer festival is open to different performing disciplines such as dance, world music, opera, jazz and classical music. For the Jardines del Cap Roig Festival there have been international figures such as Bob Dylan, Diana Ross, Paco de Lucía, Cesaria Evora, Joaquín Cortés and Julio Iglesias, among others.
In this edition, internationally renowned artists such as Juanes, Mag Lari, James Blunt, Sting and Shaggy will be performing, amongst other big name national acts from Spain like Manolo García and the Mexican band Maná. The scenery for the event is unbeatable, in an enclosure surrounded with nature by the sea!
The origins of the Cap Roig’ Castle and its Botanical Gardens date back to 1927, when Russian Colonel Nicolai Woevodsky, who was keen on drawing and architecture, and his wife, the English aristocrat Dorothy Webster, decorator and amateur archeologist and gardening, left behind her court life in London to settle down and make true her fondest dream in this unique place located in a special enclave by the sea. A place prevailing in nature and calm.
