BARCELONA – VÍLNIUS
Presentation to Barcelona airport to undertake the first flight to Vilnius. Dinner and lodging.
(VILNIUS) TRAKAI
Breakfast. Today, we will visit the old city of Vilnius: Cathedral, Catholic and Orthodox Churches, Gediminas Castle and university. After lunch, we will leave to the village of Trakai where we will visit the famous castle-Gothic fortress (14th century) defense against the attacks of the Crusades during the Middle Ages. We will visit the archaeological site of Kernave, the first capital of the country. Dinner and lodging.
VILNIUS – KAUNAS – KLAIPEDA
We will have lunch and we will go to Kaunas, where we will see the castle, town hall, houses of merchants of the 15th and 16th centuries, the white baroque bell tower of the Town Hall, and the cathedral, the largest Gothic basilica building in Lithuania, and the house of the Tro “Perkunas”. Lunch. Our route will take us to Klaipeda, the only Baltic port that does not glow in winter. Dinner.
(KLAIPEDA) NERINGA – PALANGA
Breakfast. We will visit the door to the Lithuania Sea. On board a ferry we will go to the peninsula of Curonia. Visit the Neria Kursi National Park with its dunes and near the witches hill, full of sculptures of Lithuanian tales. Lunch and departure to Palanga to stroll along the summer city par excellence of Lithuania. Return to Klaipeda. Dinner
KLAIPEDA – TURÓ DE LES CREUS – RUNDALE – RIGA
We will have breakfast before entering Latvia. We will see the mysterious hill of Les Creus, just over 10 meters high with thousands of crosses, figures of Jesus and messages of all kinds left by pilgrims. We will visit the Rundale Palace, the former summer residence of the Dukes of Curland (18th century), worthy of a fairy tale. We will lunch at the palace and leave towards Riga, the largest, cosmopolitan and “Parisian” capital of the three republics. Dinner and lodging.
(RIGA) CIUDAD Y JURMALA
Breakfast. This morning, we will visit the historical center of Riga on foot. Labyrinth of small alleys, the needles of the cathedral and the churches of Sant Pere and San Joaquim stand out. We will pass through the Powder Tower, the National Opera and the Freedom Monument. Lunch. This afternoon, we will visit Jurmala, the largest SPA report in Latvia, and full. Dinner.
RIGA – SIGULDA – PARNU – TALLINN
Breakfast. At Sigulda we will visit the Gauja National Park, the Turaida castle museum and the Gutmans cave. Lunch. We will enter Estonia to Parnu where we will stop for a walk. Arriving in Tallinn, capital and medieval city recognized as the oldest in northern Europe. The old town conserves walls, cobblestone streets, torches and alleyways. Dinner.
(TALLINN) VISIT OF THE CITY
Breakfast. We will visit the upper part of the city: the hill and fortress of Toompea and the orthodox cathedral. In the lower town, we will take a tour from the Town Hall square, to the churches of San Nicolás and Olaf. Lunch. Afternoon at the Ethnographic Museum – Rocca al Mare, to see the buildings s. XVIII-XIX. Dinner.
(TALLINN) PN LAHEMAA – ALTJA
Breakfast and visit to the Lahemaa National Park: rustic wooden buildings, large lakes and parks. At Altja we will visit the mansions of Palmse and Sagadi (decorated in the Rococo style). Dinner.
TALLINN – BARCELONA.
Breakfast and return flight to Barcelona.
